Commuters rushing to get home to see 'The Magic Roundabout' because nobody had a video recorder.
Three records for a pound - 6/8 in old money. Made of vinyl and always getting scratched (especially if you tried to use the multi-play facility on your Dansette - they used to stack up on the platter then slide on each other if you put too many on)
On the subject of the Dansette - why 16 rpm? Four speeds - 78, 45, 33 and a third and 16.
Bringing empty lemonade bottles back to the shop for the deposit.
The half-crown and the ten bob note.

I think it's called "Your Smiling Face" and it's by James Taylor.
Actually the lyric is a little different from what you remember:
Whenever I see your smiling face,
I have to smile myself because I love you, yes, I do.
And when you give me that pretty little pout, it turns me inside out.
There's something about you, baby, I don't know.

What about 'Room 101' where the celebrity picks the things s/he hates the most? I think Nick Hancock hosted it first then Paul Merton.
