My feet are almost permanently cold (even in Summer!), but I can't say that I feel sick with it, uncomfortable yes. I would rather agree with Seacommander that this feeling sick is a result of something else and not cold feet. My cure for cold feet is first having a warm shower then slowly introducing my feet to cold water. It works wonders (especially if I do it just before bedding down for the night!!)

I can only speak from experience and that from our parrots. As soon as it starts getting dark, they all go to their 'sleeping' perch, lift one leg up and go to sleep. The love birds and the Alexander we had would actually tuck their heads around to the side, but the macaw we now have just perches on one foot and nods off! All of them had/have their own times for a little siesta during the day. Of course there are birds that are night active such as owls, I admit that I haven't looked it up, but I assume that is because their prey (mice and moles etc) are also night active so that's the only time they can catch their dinner!

Austria also has some excellent wines, mostly coming from the Southern provinces. I agree with Wumpus about the French wine, bot only too acid, but they tend to give me a headache too - Mon Dieu!

I have a QWERTZ keyboard - it does take a bit of time getting used to it when you are used to a QWERTY of course. I have not researched into why this is the case, but logic tells me that in german 'z' is a common letter in many words and 'y' not so. Perhaps whoever changed it thought that the z was easier to access when placed on the top row!!

It is not only in the Catholic religion that this happens. My first experience with somebody dying was in Greece (they are mostly Orthodox) and the body was kept at home. Family, friends etc came to pay their respects. In Greece the body is buried within 24 hours after death. (unless of course an autopsy has to be carried out)
