The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) was founded on 21 May 1904. The foundation act was originally signed by representatives of seven national football associations (all European), but others joined soon.
Despite the fact that FIFA considered organizing an international tournament from early on, the first World Cup did not take place until July 1930, so the FIFA cup history started much later.
If you want more details, the FIFA website has a "History of FIFA" link at http://www.fifa.com/fifa/index_E.html

I know that ammonium salts are decomposed when mixed with a base e.g. the alkali sodium hydroxide.

sodium hydroxide NaOH(aq)+ ammonium chloride NH4Cl(aq)==> sodium chloride NaCl(aq)+ water H2O(l)+ ammonia NH3(g)

Not sure what the equations are for metals, carbonates, etc. They might not exist.

In 2002, Canada won (with US and Russia placing 2nd and 3rd respectively) and is among the top contenders in Turin this year as well. Czech Republic, which won in 1998 (followed by Russia and Finland) also has a good team, as does Russia, Finland, Sweden and the US.
In women’s hockey, Canada (won in 2002) and the US (won in 1998) have by far the best teams and are the likeliest contenders for the gold medal.
