My parents had a raeburn, way back in the 70s. The fire heats the water in a tank behind the fireplace, (the boiler.) When you require heat to the radiators, here is an electric pump, (operated either manually, or by a thermostat) which drives the hot water from the boiler around the radiators.

I can remember having to put the pump on when the tank started boiling. :-) That said, our system was installed by the local council.

Modern systems might be a little more complicated.

The boiler will be behind the fire. This will transfer heat to your hot water tank via pipes that carry hot water. The hot water that comes out your tap is heated indirectly from the boiler.

The immersion heater will not affect your heating system in any way. Your hot water tank will have an electrical heating element in it, (just like the one my folks had.) This is used to heat up hot water for during the times when the fire's not lit... like summer. LMAO!

Your right, the immersion switch doesn't affect the pump. It only heats up the tank that provides hot water that comes through the taps, when that tank gets no heat from the boiler.

It sounds like you could need a new pump. Chin the landlord. :-)

In addition to what the others have said, I would be worried that Sasha is going to grow up with skewed values. How will she feel about herself when her looks change. Has she any other qualities that will help her define her own identity as an adult? At best, she could be at risk of growing up to be a shallow individual. At worst, she could be heading for huge self esteem problems when she finds out that skin deep beauty isn't enough.

Of course, I could be making assumptions, but my perceptions could be coloured by her "ex-glamour model" mother. Maybe I'm prejudging, but it seems like her mother's values are driving her daughter in this direction. Maybe Sasha will end up reliving her modelling days vicariously through her own daughter, much like the way her mother appears to be using her at present?

I would say that you really need to speak to a lawyer. It sounds like you need professional advice.

I would say that I do understand your reluctance to go to court, but please think of the victim, especially if the accused party has admitted the offence, in part. A court appearance might be uncomfortable for you, but consider the trauma that all this will cause her.

What will you find the easiest course of action to live with, in the long run?

I find it interesting that they are advertising whisky and coffee. Both of these commodities have been discussed recently. This implies that the ads are the product of an intelligence, of sorts.

I can live with those. However, every time I open a page on this site, I get several error messages, saying "stack overflow at line 0." I close it several times before it goes away, which makes the site a right royal pain to use. I'm also hoping that this doesn't interfere with the posting function. Well, I better find out. Here goes.
