Gray's anatomy, Last's anatomy, Grant's atlas of anatomy are highly advanced anatomy books and are probably for those who are quite advance in anatomy.

Clinically oriented anatomy, Essential clinical anatomy by Moore and Augur, and Snell's anatomy are for university students studying anatomy.

Netter's atlas of human anatomy is probably the best anatomy atlas around. Mcminn's atlas of human anatomy shows one actual cadavers. Both these books are wonderful.

For embryology, Larsen's book is probably the best, but according to the author's opinion it is far too advanced. Sadler's human embryology book is a good also. However the most preferred anatomy text by me is clinically oriented embryology by Moore and Persaud. It is very well written, well explained, well illustrated, and makes a student of embryology fall in love with the subject.
