 | nermal-the-kitten answers: My research indicates that the form of kebab we're used to nowadays evolved in Germany in the late 70's, and became more widespread in the 1980's. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%B6ner_kebab#History) There's no specific date given as to when the first Kebab Shop opened in the UK. Bayswater (London) "is home to some of London's oldest kebab shops" (http://education.independent.co.uk/higher/az_uni_colleges/article1213488.ece) And that's about all I can find! 3 years ago / reply |
