I'm guessing that's a typo. The glomeruli and hilum are indeed part of the kidneys.

the glomeruli are definetely part of the kidneys (singular glomerulus) the hilium seems to be a point (which is present on the kidney but also present on the liver spleen and even seeds)

I think hilium might be the name of a connecting tissue/part of the organ.
