Are there any plans for a second series of ITV's fab Prehistoric Park?
We got the DVD set for Christmas, and loved the series. I'd really love to see more episodes, as it was both educational and very entertaining!

The short answer is no. This 6 part series took two years to make and was jointly funded by ITV, Animal Planet US, M6 in France and ProSieben in Germany. Although Prehistoric Park series was undoubtably a success, it would take two years to produce another series.

Impossible Pictures who made the series are currently working on another project using the same remarkable CGI technology. This is about an evolutionary zoologist who discovers a time portal which allows creatures from the past to come through to our time and for humans to travel the other way. This will be six 60 minute programs shown on ITV. Production started early in 2006 so expect it to be broadcast later this year or in 2008.
