The word 'ordered' is a bit hard - no-one is ever 'ordered' to take tablets - I'd like to see my GP or specialist 'make' me take mine if I'd had enough of doing so!

Really, it depends what they were - you would've been better off not starting at all until tomorrow, starting one day late wouldn't usually make much difference - being that the medication wasn't administered in hospital, on a drip, and you posted the question, suggests you're not going to die if you don't take them!

The way antibiotics work is to strip all good and bad bacteria from the infected area and replace it once the infection has been fought. By taking 'one' tablet, you've started a process, that will now weaken your immune system - slightly - is all, because you're not taking the next one to carry the process on.

I figure whatever advice you're given here, you're gonna do it anyway(lol), just remember for next time, and don't do it again, so enjoy yourself tonight, if going out is what this 'was' all about, and remember to take the antibiotics and complete the course! Be careful how much you drink is all - the amount of both alcohol 'and' antiobiotic in the blood can be increased.

you will be ok to start taking your tablets from tomorow without any side effects,after all you are still taking the tablets as a course so it dontreally matter that you forgot to take one just try to take what your doctor advised you to take.
