Sauteed potatoes cooked with bits of bacon thrown in and topped with a puree of sun-dried tomatoes and basil.

sausage, mash (with lots of butter and milk) and baked beans!

volcanoes. make your mash, create a big pile in the middle of your plate and hollow out the middle of the mountain (that's the basic volcano). get your meatballs, and carefully pour them inside, and top with beans or cheese, to your taste.
