Misery needs friends - would anyone like to join me on my diet?
Before everyone starts criticising me and saying that diets are no good and you should just eat healthily all the time, it is a healthy eating plan that I am going on, not a faddy diet! And my wife is doing it too, so hopefully we can spur each other on!
But as I prepare to forgo chocolate, sweets and cakes (at least during daylight hours), would anyone else like to join me on this weight-loss campaign? Should we set up the iQ slimming club?

I can't cut out cakes and chocolate completely so I'll just cut down.

| sazemoo answers: hee. i gave up all junk food for lent and promised myself i would do three lots of exercise a week (hockey, 5k jog etc) and lent started on wednesday and i've already lost 6 pounds in just 5 days, to give you some idea of how much i can shovel in! i've been finding it really hard cutting out the bad stuff and am absolutely gagging for some chocolate. only 35 days to go sob!
the only reason i'm doing this is, i'm not fat, but i eat very very very unhealthily so i've decided i wanted to see what i look like after 40 days of solely healthy eating and decent exercise. going well so far!
sadly, i'm unable to give up the booze as friday and saturday proved to me... no memory of my saturday evening *shakes head* not at uni anymore... 3 years ago / reply

| ReginaTWerner answers: I'll join, but only on the 1 March but not dieting (do not need one) but as Saz eating healthily again. Used to be brilliant at eating decently but working shifts stuffed it all up for me.
Will keep you posted on the 5 veges/fruit a day front!
Will eat chocolate in between, though, always have done, always will. Have I told you that I discovered Green Tea Chocolate on Saturday? It is absolutely divine!!!! 3 years ago / reply

Then I did the other eyelid...
I'll pass on that one thanks but I'm always prepared to send you a Chocolate Parcel if things get grim...
(That's a parcel full of chocolate, not a parcel MADE from chocolate, by the way.)
PS. If you'd like a video to watch to pass the time, I hear "Chocolat" is very good! And then, of course, I have both versions of "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" which I would be more than happy to send you... 3 years ago / reply

| NoisyParrot answers: I will join you on eatting healther.
I have been working on cutting all processed foods, and eatting more natural produce but I believe you should have a little of what you like. So can we have one bar of real chocolate a week please, and one homemade sponge divided between the household on sundays? 3 years ago / reply

| nivetha answers: I'll join you too. I have taken to eating snacky food as a quick bite instead of having a proper meal. Though I'm not eating a lot or anything its more like I'm not eating nutritious stuff like fruit and veggies. I want to go back to eating healthily before this trend does any lasting damage. 3 years ago / reply
