if it wasnt for transport everybody would be late for work!

Because we wouldn't be able to get about without it. people wouldn't be able to bring us things. Bus drvers, train drivers, boatmen and pilots would be out of a job, and unable to get home, cos there would be no taxi drivers.

Food would rot in fields.

This is like a script for one of those educational films... "**** in our lives!"

We wouldn't be able to get around very quickly.... we would have to walk everywhere and that would take us forvever togo anywhere! Plus we would have to carry everything we needed, like (as above) farmers would have to carry veg from their fields!
