how is FINE printing any different to bubblejet?
sounds pretty much the same to me... can anyone enlighten this technophobe?

FINE is an acronym for "full-photolithography inkjet nozzle engineering". what that means in english, i do NOT know!

I havent come across the term "Fine printing" applied to a method of delivering ink to paper, but I can well imagine it appearing in some blurb about a particular make of printer.
Laser,Bubble-jet, ink-jet, and dye-sublimation printers are the types currently on the market. How "Fine " you want your prints will be subject to whose make, and how much you're gonna pay. They all have their limitations.

The Canon FINE print system uses a high-performance 1,856-nozzle print head that ejects consistent, prescribed-volume droplets as small as 2 picoliters. What part don't you undertand? lol.

Actually, they're not expensive to run either. Best thing is that they use separate cartridges for each colour so you don't have the annoying problem of having to throw a part used cartridge out just because one colour is exhausted.
