Truck driver- and although I have driven trucks/coaches/buses etc I am no longer able to do it so I am in limbo....

Wanted to help people but was never sure in what area though. I didn't want to do the elderly as it would have broken my heart when they passed away. I didn't want to do children as I would have feel obliged to take them all home and mother them. So in the end decided to be a counsellor and that is what I did.

I had high asperations me and a group of friends decided when we was 10 that we would all own a chain of corner shops lol. and as for me personally i wanted to be an Archiologist and this dream went right to secondry school when i failed my history mock exam i was gutted i failed because i didnt read what was written not because i didnt know the answer, so i do the archiolgy as a passtime now.

Yes, I am also a sad person wanting to be an accountant when I was young.

I ended up being first a programmer and then, later, a systems support technician on mainframe computer systems (you know, those dinosaurs of the computing world that they have to keep going until they can be replaced).

I wanted to be a prison warden but looking back I'm glad I was an inch too short. I don't think it matters now how tall you are.

I was a laboratory technician and after retiring I taught Basic Skills to adults.

Neither of these things are what I really want to do, which is writing and illustrating children's books.
I may get there one day.

I wanted to be a nurse but ended up doing care work which I am still doing. It is time for a change though...Love the work but hate all of the nonsense that goes along with it! i.e, working with horrible people & people who have no interest in providing a high standard of care, they just rush and want to get finished early!
