I've been told that I look like that guy from NYPD Blue.

In my own mind, I am a combination of the young Robert Redford, Paul Newman, and Harrison Ford. In other words, devastatingly handsome and overwhelming to beautiful women of all ages.

I have had some difficulty in finding people who will agree with this self-perception. Some say I look like Clark Gable, because he's dead. Some say it's good that there are no others who look like me, because that would have prevented them from becoming famous. Some just snicker.

Ah well, I have a warm heart.

I've changed a lot over the years but in my teens people used to say I looked like Brigitte Bardot (When she was also young, I might add),
a bit later on it was Teddy of the Beverley Sisters and in my 30s and 40s it was Petula Clarke. I was actually stopped in the street once and asked for my autograph once because someone thought I was Petula Clarke.
I don't think I resemble anyone now - unless it's Miss Piggy!

the software matches points on your face to comparative points on other well-known faces - this will turn up people with the same face shape and distance between features as you, ergo the similarity. the different shape of faces (round, oval, heart shaped, square, etc) are determined by bone structure and layers of fat deposits, which are all determined by genetics. the same face shape will travel down through families (which is why some pictures of my mum kinda freak me out... and my brother is the spit of her dad) but just because someone has the same face shape as you doesn't mean you're distantly related. well, in all honesty, you *might* be, but i don't think you'll find anyone wearing my tartan in liz's family.

I have been told by two diffeent people that I look like Martin Clunes, neither my wife or I can see any resemblance.

But I apparently I look like them. The only one I knew was Ashley Olsen. Why not Mary-Kate, I don't know. I guess I do have a similar face shape to all the above.
