NO MORE ADVERTS!
F1 is to return to the BBC after 12 years of adverts interupting every race.

A new 5 year deal will see the F1 calender on BBC TV, Radio, World Service and on the Internet from the start of the 2009 season.

I just hope they bring back the old Theme Music.

Is anyone else as excited as me?

It's a good thing - the interesting stuff always happens during the commercial breaks!

Not excited as such, pleased that the programme won't be interupted by constant advertising breaks ruining the flow when they have to get the breaks in irrespective of the stage of the race.
Yup to bringing back the old theme music,ITV have never matched it in any of their many attempts.

Definitely a bad thing- it means the live MotoGP coverage will take second place. Maybe they will condescend to put the bikes on BBC3 or 4 so we won't miss anything. If you've not seen the bike coverage on BBC2, do yourself a favour and check it out- the MotoGP paddock is a much more friendly and enjoyable place - Rossi has more character than the whole of F1.

If I was a cruel person I would say that the ads are more interesting than the race <:o

I don't care either way. If it was on radio it'd hardly be less of a spectat or sport than it is at the moment.

Identical cars. No overtaking. Stops for petrol - and these are are the exciting highlights!?!?

Watching cars on the Sidcup Bypass is more fun.
