I'm thinking of buying more memory for my laptop. I know I have to find out the maximum it can take and of course it has to be compatible but can anyone give me a step by step guide please? Do I have to back anything up? How do I find the....
...maximum it can take.
Kindly answer as if I were a drooling idiot.

| wumpus answers: No need to back up; with more memory the machine should run faster, that's all.
Maximum it can take should be stated in the manual.
Failing that, you can probably find out by googling the laptop model number. 3 years ago / reply
