Green Lanes.

This very long road runs from Newington Green up to Turnpike Lane tube station. Primarily, businesses areound here are owned by Turkish people so there are lots of cheap greengrocers. The cheapest, I think, is the large one next to Iceland - about halfway between Manor House and Turnpike Lane tube stations.

To get here take either the 141 (runs from London bridge-city-old street-newington green-manor house-palmer's green) or 29 bus (trafalgar square-warren st-camden town-holloway road-finsbury park - manor house-turnpike lane) and walk the rest.
