People aren't interested in true talent anymore for the most part. Most people would much rather watch a bunch of no talent celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Amy Wino-house, and the always intelligent Paris Hilton implode in public for all to see. It is kind of like the train wreck that you see but you just can't turn away from. I don't get it but as long as there is the paparazzi following these people around making them feel more talented and important than they really are, this will never stop.

Where do you get the idea that society is made up of mostly intelligent people?

We need a bit of escapism sometimes, and they are there to live the lives we never would, but would like to think about.

Also, it's a bit of gossip really isnt it!

We have always lived in a world which prizes the superficial over artesian gifts. The media dictate what we think we want and sadly, a fair majority play along and tune into this rubbish, for lack of "real" entertainment! IMO.

Blame those members of society who buy the publications which buy the pictures and stories from the paparazzi.

We don't, they need us, but most fail to realise that, as with most things -politicians,police,ETC
