Do smaller radio stations need permission to play chart songs?
My University radio station has just played the same song twice in the space of about fifteen minutes. Do they need permission to play this? They have often made mistakes where one DJ will play a song and the next will come into the studio and play this song again, unaware it has already been played? asked in music, radio |

 | siasl74 answers: Basically the radio station will pay royalties to a collection agency that will distribute them to the artists.
