Woo Hoo!! A Christmas question ! What did you always get right in the bottom of your christmas stocking?
We always got a satsuma and some shiny, new minted pennies.Right in the toe of ours.

A satsuma (well a tangerine in those days - satusumas were still in the future) and some nuts together with some miniature bottles of cordial such as lemon barley water, lime and orange squash. They were wonderful little bottles and made of real glass.

I never got a satsuma like all of the above and our bottom of the stocking was usually 4 quality street and a novelty rubber (must stress the eraser variety).

One year did get nuts and rubbers and maybe my career choice was down to my parents and their stocking treats!
