Two strange ones listed in Wikipedia.

The first is in Dorset and I seem to remember an Ian Dury album (New Boots and Panties?) that shows the man himself standing in front of a road sign pointing in that direction.

Just to add a bit of fun when I'm having a ride about on my motorbike, I like to include places with odd or silly names in the route. I have been to Burnt Houses, Wackerfield, Ogle, Coalburns, Pity Me, Warcop, Lucker, Biggar, Birkhill, Dykeshead, Lune Forrest, Stair, Hart, Saltcoats, Cockle Park, Hott, Carr Sheild, Cockfeild, Killerby, Spital Tongue, Slaggyford, Greenhead, Upper Dyke, Takin & Knock to name a few

THERE ARE QUITE A LOT OF STRANGE PLACE NAMES IN GERMANY THERE IS A WANKUM NEAR THE DUTCH BORDER AND THERE'S EVEN A WANK IN BAVARIA.
