Can a laptop damage you?
Can having a laptop computer sat on your lap cause any damage? What if you're pregnant can it harm the baby? What about men could it affect fertillity? If any of the above are true where can I read more about it, and what is the safest way to use one? asked in laptop, health risks, pregnancy |

 | ndm20 answers: As far as I know laptops have not been linked to any fertility issues in men or women. However, I'd suggest putting the laptop on a table or other flat surface as it can damage the laptop itself; if the air vents are blocked even slightly, it can affect the cooling system and damage the circuits due to overheating. 3 years ago / reply |
 | demondii answers: as long as the laptop is on the table or something like it is perfectly safe. but for the men putting the laptop in the lap could raise the temperature in the testicles and this in itself is not good. i dont really know for the baby so best bet is to keep it on the table. laptop that is. 3 years ago / reply |
